Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 titles have been won on hard surfaces
A revitalized Medvedev claimed his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult period, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.
His varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in particular - led to him falling of the top ten and finally parting ways with former coach Gilles Cervara.
Now training with his coach and his other coach, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the past month - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface after March of 2023.
Success also means he has achieved 21 championships at 21 various tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to win a trophy is really nice," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I won when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had failed in his past six finals, comprising in that event previously this season.
The player's defensive approach and recurring emotional displays on the tennis court had caused commentators to doubt if his capacity to compete at the highest level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to advance forward and compete assertively, supported by an improved serving game.
The champion recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, securing 4 of the last five games to go ahead.
The pair exchanged breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his first professional victory, seized the initiative to force a third set.
Moutet defended 4 initial chances in a close final set before Medvedev won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, he secured victory with a shot at the net, with his opponent unable to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
